When Julia and Jackson were planning their wedding, they had one goal in mind: to create a celebration that felt all their own. With bold color choices and a few playful touches, their celebration at Valentine by Marvimon was a dazzling reflection of two vibrant personalities and their shared love for the unconventional.

From Julia’s bright blue ankle boots and tinsel jacket, every detail felt intentional and deeply personal. And the venue they chose, with its blend of one-of-a-kind artwork, storied history, and towering greenery, was the ideal location for a truly unique celebration.

The Tropical-Inspired Ceremony

Julia and Jackson’s wedding ceremony was set in the lush Greenhouse Courtyard at Valentine. With its vibrant gardens and towering 35-foot glass roof, the courtyard felt like an island oasis in the middle of the city. Their bold color palette, with its deep reds, vibrant oranges, and pops of green blended seamlessly into the botanical surroundings, making the space feel like a true tropical escape.

The Sunset Dining Room Reception

After exchanging their vows, the couple and their guests moved to Valentine’s Sunset Dining Room for the reception. The eclectic decor choices—ranging from vintage marquee signs to mini disco balls as place settings—added a sense of fun and playfulness to the evening. Instead of traditional formalwear, guests were encouraged to embrace the couple’s vision by dressing in colorful cocktail attire. The beautiful balance of elegance and quirkiness made their reception both personal and unforgettable.

Making the Most of Valentine’s Versatility

One of the things that made Valentine the ideal venue for Julia and Jackson’s wedding was its incredible versatility. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a hanging balloon and tassel installation in the couple’s signature wedding colors. The event transitioned seamlessly from the garden-like courtyard ceremony to the bold, artistic atmosphere of the reception space—two completely distinct settings within the same venue.

And just across the street, they took advantage of Flora Chang, a thoughtfully designed space that they utilized as a pre-wedding suite, to get ready before walking over for the ceremony. Keeping their first look a surprise until the last possible moment made the reveal of the space even more magical.
